Many people visit a restaurant for that special night out. The evening is spent sharing small talk, commenting on the meal, etc. Afterwards you can't return home fast enough to escape the strangulation of your tie.
We realize many people enjoy doing this and that is perfectly fine but how many times have you visited a restaurant where you end up staying until closing? Where the tie comes off before you get home? Most likely you've not experienced this on too many occasions, hence the reason that folks call us “an extension of their living room”. It is a place where social status is irrelevant, and stuffy dress codes are non-existent. It is a melting pot from attorneys, to musicians, to construction workers; a place where individuals can be just that, individuals. And in keeping their individuality they are routinely found sharing a table with each other discussing anything and everything.
A good example can be found on Thursday nights as the kitchen staff closes down to make way for Karaoke in the bar area. If you happen to be in the restaurant at the time, chances are you'll have a microphone in your hand before the evening is out. We even have patrons that regularly stop in before normal business hours to have a drink and watch the golf channel. You can't get much more relaxing than that.
These are people that we are honored to call friends. Sure, many have been around for several years however there are also many that have known us for a short time. Regardless, we love the atmosphere that our patrons have created and we further love being the hosts of their night out. |
